ZONA activated authentication on outgoing mail server (smtp.zona.ba) in order to reduce outgoing spam. Data for the login (username and password) when sending e-mail are the same as the data for receiving messages. Currently, e-mails can be send both with and without authentication. This transitional period will last until 1 January 2010. when sending messages will no longer be possible if authentication is not configured for SMTP server. Users who have configured e-mail account in Mozilla Thunderbird can find additional settings for these changes on page 5 of this guidance (section 1.2), and users who have set up an account in Outlook Express further adjustment can find on page 9 (section 2.2).
