DASTO semtel is the first private national network operator in Bosnia and Herzegovina, with complete functional SDH network throughout the area of Bosnia and Herzegovina.The network started with the commercial work in November 2005 under the name “ZONA”. ZONA is a digital wireless network built on the platform that connects larger cities and commercial areas in the country. The primary network (backbone) is based on the NERA InterLink Series "Carrier-Grade" wireless SDH links, in the redundant "ring" configuration, and provides the highest level of quality and reliability. The features of the ZONA technology are the following: -The current Capacity, depending on the routes, varies from STM-1 up to 8xSTM-1. In unprotected mode it is possible to achieve 8xSTM-1 capacities to the locations of prime importance on a national level -Backbone Network in Full Redundant Configuration (Ring Redundancy and n+1) -Backbone Carrier-Grade Equipment and Network Design, Availability of >99.995% -IP and TDM (E1, E3, STM-1) Interfaces on each backbone location (currently 23 and increasing) -Functional n x STM-1 up to STM-16 International Interconnection with Croatian Telecom (T-Com), Austria Telecom, Invitel, Odasiljaci i Veze (OiV), and Nationally with HT Mostar, BH Telekom, Akton and Metronet.
